_TATAMÁ: the Grandfather of the Rivers_ The project, located in the heart of the Colombian Andes, in the coffee zone, is based on 3 guiding principles for its architecture, referring to THE HAND as an organ, not only because of its center-extremities geometric configuration (palm-fingers), usual in hospital architecture, but because of its meaning and generating power. With the hand it is taken care of, it is sustained, it is welcomed, it is built, it is indicated, it is even answered. Tatamá "the Grandfather of the Rivers", is a hand crossed in his palm by a line of life - the stream that crosses the lot and is the implantation axis. From his palm - organizing center of all tensions and relationships - the fingers unfold, articulating the necessary collaboration and autonomy between them, for the different functions, the most delicate and the hardest.

There are 3 conceptual principles:

1. The hand that connects.
2. The hand that heals.
3. The hand that responds.
_THE HAND THAT CONNECTS_
Currently the ecological connectivity in the project area is practically nil, due to the fact that the lot is delimited by roads and 100% of the territory has been transformed by human intervention. In the spirit of the Tatamá Foundation to be a national benchmark of excellence in the care of people and their environment, and to be a piece of regional care in the center-west of the country, the hospital is proposed for ecological restoration as a key connecting piece and ecological restoration, through three strategies: environmental connection, implementation of a minimum footprint, differentiated and fluid accessibility.

The project assumes the responsibility of contributing, not only to state-of-the-art medical care in its range of services, but also to a welcoming and well-being environment for patients and companions, and an active role in the construction and sustainability of a culture of patient care. people and their environment, through three strategies: culture, care and hospitality.
