a dynamic, evolving repository of events
this project begins with the observation of four species —Fulica atra, Cinclus cinclus, Actitis hypoleucos, and Apatura ilia -whose presence reveals how water, land, and life interact along the lakeshore near Mendrisio. Combined with a reading of the local landscape, the shoreline, and town dynamics, the project proposes a space shared by humans and non-humans alike.

It connects existing hiking paths to the lake by following the small water streams that flow into it, turning these into active corridors for movement, habitat, and interaction.
Time is treated as a design tool: erosion and sedimentation gradually shape the land, changing how the space looks and feels. Instead of a fixed design, the project allows the landscape to evolve -growing new forms and new ways of being in the place.
